Building confident, capable swimmers from their very first splash.

Hi there! I'm Ashleigh, and swimming has been my lifelong passion. I want to share my love for the water with as many people as I can. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I started swimming provincially at the age of 10. A year later, I made my national debut at the 2006 Sub-Saharan Invitational Swimming Junior Championship in Zambia, representing my country with pride.
At 16, I put competitive swimming to the side to focus on my IGCSEs and school team swimming. In 2018, I embarked on a new adventure and moved to the UK. Despite the distance, my love for swimming has only grown stronger. This enduring passion led me to my latest venture: starting my own swim school.
Now, let me tell you about the inspiration behind my logo. The flame lily, Zimbabwe's national wildflower and my personal favourite, is featured prominently. It symbolises strength and resilience, blooming after the rains in December, even after the devastating bush fires that occur during Zimbabwe's dry winters. The green outline in the background represents the shape of Zimbabwe. This logo serves as a constant reminder of my roots and the place where my swimming journey began, fuelling my determination to pursue this new adventure.

Between the ages of 6 months and roughly 3 years, expect to see your child learning and understanding what it feels like to move in the water and not to be concerned by water splashing in their direction.

Swimmers will learn the basics of water safety, movement, and confidence. They'll also get used to being in a structured class setting. Flotation devices, like noodles and floats, might be used during this stage.

Swimmers work on streamlining their strokes and kicking their legs without touching the pool floor. They're also introduced to aquatic breathing and alternative safe water entries, like jumping in. They'll develop basic floating skills and learn how to rotate back to an upright position without help.

Swimmers will practice their front and back kicks, streamlining through push and glides even while swimming underwater. They'll continue to learn safe entries into the water, including submersion, and travel up to 10 meters on their front and back. Lastly, they'll further develop water safety knowledge and rotation skills.

Swimmers will perfect their leg kicks for all four strokes, work on their push and glides, and learn the sculling technique. They'll also develop an understanding of buoyancy through various drills and should be able to swim 10 meters to meet Swim England Expected Standards.

Swimmers will hone their skills in treading water, master the proper arm pulls for all four strokes, and even learn handstands and somersaults. In short, they'll refine their technique and perform all strokes in line with Swim England's Expected Standards.
The focus is on building upon the work done in previous stages.
For your first lesson, we make an exception and offer a single lesson payment so you can check out the location, try out the pool, and meet the instructor before committing to multiple lessons.
This class is for swimmers under the age of 18.
This class is for swimmers who are 18 or older. The lesson outcomes for these classes are bespoke for each customer.
